As one of the main funding and operating partners to the House of Peace and Dialogue, Basecamp Explorer has established itself as a value-oriented international business organization. Basecamp has for the past six years developed a sustainable tourism destinations network around the world, of which Dharamsala is a part. Basecamp has through its initiative been rewarded global, national and local tourism awards.

Basecamp Explorer has more than 25 community projects on three continents. These require partnerships with both the local people and international organizations. At the moment we collaborate with local communities, WWF, UNESCO, National Museums of Kenya, Kenya Wildlife Service, NORAD, Stromme
Foundation, The Green Belt Safaris, Tibetan Children Village and many more.

On the foothills of India’s Himalaya mountains, Basecamp works in partnership with the Tibetan community, and in particular The Tibetan Children Village. We want to promote a culture of non-violence and dialogue amongst youth around around the world through the House of Peace and Dialogue.

Basecamp Explorer operates a mobile tented camp outside of Dharamsala together with a locally based Tibetan trekking group. We also co-operate with Chonor House, a Tibetan managed guest house in Macleod Ganj and with the Norbulingka Institute which is dedicated to the Norbulingka Tibetan Art & Culture.
