The House of Peace and Dialogue (HPD) is a peace promoting initiative for youth from all over the world. It is based on the firm belief that dialogue and respect for all forms of life are the keys in reducing conflict and creating a platform for coexistence and peace.

Today HPD successfully hosts a variety of seminars, workshops, expert-led dialogues and other activities that promotes a broader understanding of peace related topics like philosophy, democracy, development, good governance, environmental and cultural awareness, respect and tolerance, conflict resolution and the culture of non-violence and dialogue.

Our aim is to provide a place for youth to share experiences and express views about some of the critical issues of our time.

In fact the HPD initiative shares His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s belief that paths that lead to solutions emerge out of dialogue and non-violence.

The House of Peace and Dialogue invites you to participate in shaping a global future of less conflict and more equitable development in harmony with the limited resources of our Earth.

The House of Peace and Dialogue (HPD) was inaugurated on the 26th October 2006 commemorated in the presence and blessings of His Holiness the XVII Galwa Karamapa Rinpoche and attended by the Tibetan Children Village(TCV) chairman Mr Yeshi, Basecamp Explorer Management team and all the children and teachers from Tibetan Children Village (TCV).

The House of Peace and Dialogue is beautifully situated in the mountain range north of Macleod Ganj, northern Dharamsala, India. It consists of a guest house of eight double rooms, twenty four single rooms and a common kitchen. The seminar facilities includes one big main hall, accommodating up to one hundred people, five smaller conference rooms, a computer and library centre. Besides, there are several guest rooms both for scholars and students.
